Teacher. Journalist. Activist. A man who built a school, got jailed for speaking up, and came back with a camera — building one of India's most fearless independent news channels from the streets of Azamgarh.
Ullu TV was born out of frustration — with a media that looks away from the poor, with officials who abuse power in silence, and with a system that punishes those who speak up. Rajiv Talwar built this channel so that ordinary people from Azamgarh and across Uttar Pradesh finally have a platform that speaks their language and fights their battles.
No corporate sponsors. No political masters. Just one man, a camera, and an unbreakable commitment to the truth — however uncomfortable it may be.
Ullu TV has no corporate funding, no political backing. Every rupee you donate goes directly to keeping this free press alive — covering costs, equipment, travel, and legal defence so Rajiv can keep reporting without fear.

Your support keeps independent journalism alive in Azamgarh
Born in 1976 in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajiv Talwar — real name Rajiv Kumar Singh — grew up in a modest family with big ambitions. His first calling was education. In 2002, he founded Ratna Public School in Rahulnagar, providing quality education to children in the community.
When a 2015 school controversy landed him briefly in jail, Rajiv didn't retreat — he reinvented. He handed the school to his wife Priya and launched Ullu TV, turning the camera into his new weapon against injustice.
His reporting style is deliberately raw — using the language of the streets to speak directly to common people. He has contested two elections as an Independent and survived multiple FIRs. Through it all, his message has never wavered: the truth must be told, whatever the cost.
